Great News! This year you can find us at Venturefest Yorkshire offering free eye tracking trials to anyone that comes along to our stand. A chance to gain a valuable insight into how your customers see your website.
Here is what was featured in the Yorkshire post on Tuesday:
Following the success of Venturefest Yorkshire 2006, next months event will see the largest ever number of exhibitors.
Free opportunities to drive business success
Aware of the competition for delegates’ attention, this year’s exhibitors have pulled out the stops to offer advice and practical support for entrepreneurs and seasoned business leaders alike.
Fellow exhibitor, York-based SimpleUsability.org, applies human behavioural and technical expertise to make websites as effective and commercially-successful as possible. It is offering delegates free use of its latest eye-tracking technology to help them understand how their website is navigated, where opportunities are missed and what improvements should be made.
Normally costing around £4,500, managing director Guy Redwood, who has 12 years’ experience in designing and building websites will conduct the mini-sessions on his mission to boost the quality of websites in the region.
He commented: “Most websites are written, designed and built by the technically proficient for clients who operate and understand their own business inside out. Very few, if any, are able to predict how they are navigated by technically-inexperienced potential customers and very rarely are potential customers consulted in the development process.
“Anybody that visits the stand can test their website’s usability with our eye-tracking equipment – showing them how people view their site and where they can make improvements to drive business.”
