This is normally the starting point and can sometimes identify issues before user testing is carried out.

At SimpleUsability we have many combined hours of experience observing users carrying out tasks on websites. From this knowledge, multiple practitioners will check your website or websites against standard industry guidelines (heuristic evaluation) and walk through realistic tasks (sometimes called cognitive walkthrough). This can also include competitor analysis.

Usability testing

Different styles of testing can be carried out depending on what needs to be achieved.

There are different reasons for carrying out usability testing; key journey testing, design benchmarking, pre-launch testing, pre-launch competitor benchmarking or post launch in-depth testing.
