Correctly structuring your website is very important – it’s no good if users can add an item to their basket, but can’t check out! We won’t abandon you with a list of usability issues! We offer services to wireframe solutions and document new website structures. After conducting usability research it is inevitable that a job list is created. The general deliverables for a usability project already include recommendations and sometimes include a workshop to allow your team to move forward, but we can also provide you with a solution prototyping service.
Using our combined knowledge and experience we assign multiple practitioners to perform an expert review of your website. A great starting point for anyone considering moving towards user testing of their site, using standard industry guidelines we walkthrough realistic tasks in order to provide you with an understanding of any usability issues and concerns with your site.
It’s easy just to think about usability testing in terms of the macro – IA, design and layout – but ensuring that users can read and understand the content is equally as important. Along with factors such as the readability, scanability and findability of information, we can compare pages of the same design that feature different wordings to see if it affects the user and gauge their overall opinion of the wordings.
Card sorting is a fast and low-tech way of getting users to organise the contents of your website into either their own categories or under predefined headings. This gives you an idea of where users expect to find the contents of your website and also works as a way to test whether they understand the taxonomy used if pre-prepared categories are provided for them.
Drawing up personas is a great way to define your customer base and a great starting point for usability testing. With an idea of who your customers are we can move forward and assess the website from their point of view to gain an insight into any usability issues that they may face.
